We offer a number of personal growth workshops as 3-day, 1-week or 2-week intensives as well as a weekly Counsellor Training program. The Awakening is our introductory and foundational workshop. It offers the philosophical and experiential foundation on which all the others are built. Further workshops focus on themes of intimate relationship, men’s/women’s issues, addictions, life goals and leadership.

the awakening Workshop
The Awakening is an invitation to a new experience of your Self, your life, your friends, family, and the world.
Most external obstacles in life are really internal ones. We complain about him, her, this, or that, and convince ourselves that if things would change externally, our life would too. However, our internal landscape determines our external one. Perception is not a window, it is a mirror.
This workshop is about the spiritual dilemma that underlies the psychological drama of our daily lives. You will work with your internal map of the dynamics of the psychological defense system that is universal in application. This can be a life-altering moment delivered at the level of experience rather than restricted to intellect. The Awakening is an empowering, process-oriented weekend; it focuses on the relinquishment of a thought system based on fear in favour of one based on love.
The Awakening is a three-day weekend workshop starting around noon on Friday and ending Sunday evening. All materials will be provided at the workshop with no prerequisites required other than willingness and openness. Workshops are typically residential with food provided (meaning you stay on-site overnight).

what can i expect?
Our attempts at change too often result in knowing better, or feeling relief, but continuing to be stuck. Genuine, integrated change requires targeting thinking, feeling, and doing, which we achieve through a balance between experience and understanding.
The Awakening is an intense psychological adventure which promotes honesty, expression, compassion, and group dynamics. The workshop is taught by two qualified facilitators and is supported by trained assistants (we lead the industry in our ratio of assistants to number of participants). The team is dedicated to providing you a safe, nonconfrontational professionally delivered workshop experience that prides itself in respecting the speed of which each participant decides to proceed.
We ensure a therapeutically responsible and professional approach to the delivery. In Canada, our facilitators are educated and registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, and/ or the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists. amd/or the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association. International facilitators are similarly educated and trained in their respective jurisdictions. Workshop assistants, who work under the direction of the facilitators, receive in-house training in responsible, ethical delivery of service. We adhere to our own Code of Ethics, as well as those of our associations.

Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre
Those that visit often refer to us as ‘the Lower Mainland’s best-kept secret’. Sitting on the Vancouver side of Golden Ear’s Provincial Pakr, Look Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre is a local destination for quiet reflection and a home for fresh air, clean water, and tall fir trees that frame the majestic Garibaldi Mountain Range.
It is a retreat centre and not a resort and is friendly to its environment, its natural beauty, and the history of the land. Clearmind provides shared accommodations so you will be sharing with same-gender roommates. If you are attending with someone you know and would like to share with them, please let us know. Couples who are attending together will be accommodated together if that is your wish.

3 wholesome meals plus snacks will be provided. Our cooking staff try their best to accommodate dietary restrictions (ie. a vegetarian and non-vegetarian option). Most meals are accompanied by a salad and dinner usually includes a dessert.
Coffee, tea, and water will be available. Please let us know if you have any major medical allergies. If we cannot accommodate you, feel free to bring what you need. We do not want anyone to be worried about food so we try to accommodate everything the best that we can.

FEE:
The cost of the workshop is $1588 plus tax. This includes the tuition, food, and accommodation. A receipt will be e-mailed to you after your final payment.
CANCELLATION FEE:
A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $150 is required to secure your spot. Balance is due prior to the start of the workshop.
