History
The idea to start the Clearmind work in Ireland was born in November 2004 when at the end of an Awakening workshop taken in London, Duane O’Kane, founder of Clearmind International, mentioned to the Irish participants that he would like to come to Ireland. When those of us from Ireland returned home, we thought about how wonderful it would be to have the work here and just maybe we could do something to help that happen. And happen it did! In March 2005, Duane came to Dublin and held a lecture entitled “Through Fear to Love” and in May of that year, he returned with a team of experienced facilitators and assistants from the UK and Canada to hold the first ever Awakening workshop in Ireland.
The development since then has been exciting and enriching. Our support group,
which meets weekly in Dublin, has been running since then and with the subsequent
workshops, a real community has developed here where people meet to share and
support each other along their healing journey.
In the intervening time, thanks to the support and training offered by Clearmind London UK, we have been able to build our own support team here in Ireland, which is committed to expanding the work in Ireland and supporting people in their healing.
