Drawing Down the Moon Workshop

What is the Women's Workshop?

Drawing down the Moon is a powerful, transformational workshop designed to help women experience the essence of who they really are. It is an opportunity to redefine what it means to be an inspired woman of divine passion and purpose, and free oneself to a life of celebration and grace.

Women have a history of being disempowered and victimized. Social reforms have changed the western cultural landscape and most of us know our value intellectually. Emotionally, however, we still carry a conscious or unconscious sense of lack and shame, an inherited legacy of inadequacy. Many of us work hard to make up for this inner sense of lack, by being everything to everyone. We identify ourselves as the roles we play, mother, daughter, lover, career woman, searching for external validation, looking outside ourselves for a sense of worth. And yet, it is never enough.

Drawing Down the Moon gives us the key to release ourselves from our self-imposed prison. By connecting to the experiential knowledge of who we really are, we allow ourselves to flow through life with ease, certain of the true nature of our own power. From this place, we have something meaningful and authentic to give to those around us. We become proactive, rather than reactive, extending ourselves into a world that needs a new understanding of power.

What will I discover?

Three generations of women Passionate Self Acceptance, Authenticity, Connection and Purpose. The exercises are challenging, and offer you the reward of a clear experience of the power of your true essence. You will find a new perspective on yourself as a woman in relation to your mother, your first model of what it means to be a woman, and come to a fuller realization of the nuances of your identity.

Although this workshop is separate from the men’s workshop, there is a profound opportunity for healing with men at its completion. You will leave committed to a new direction, with deeper awareness and clarity in all your relationships. This workshop is an essential next step toward expressing your life’s purpose and offers intense opportunities for self discovery. The atmosphere is clear, supportive and inclusive. Many women are surprised by the bonding and support that a group of women can generate for each other.

Freed from the critical voices in our heads, we can now surrender to creativity and inspiration. A deep sense of relief and peace emerges as we let go of who we think we should be, and embrace who we really are.

What can I expect?

Women connecting Drawing Down the Moon is a graduate workshop, requiring participants to take the Awakening as a prerequisite. As in the Awakening, this workshop achieves a balance between experience and understanding. Because participants have done the Awakening and know what to expect from our workshops, Drawing Down the Moon takes flight sooner, and involves more opportunities for self discovery.

This workshop involves an element of spiritual ritual, including a Native American Sweat Lodge.

The workshop is typically taught by two qualified facilitators, and features a number of trained assistants. They are dedicated to providing you a safe, non-confrontational, professionally delivered weekend experience that prides itself on respecting the speed at which each participant decides to proceed. We ensure a therapeutically responsible and professional approach to the delivery of all of our programs.

In Canada, our facilitators are educated and registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) or the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA). International facilitators are similarly educated and trained in their respective jurisdictions. Workshop assistants, who work under the direction of facilitators, receive in house training in responsible, ethical delivery of service. We adhere to our own Code of Ethics, as well as those of our associations.

Drawing Down the Moon is a three day weekend workshop starting at around noon on Friday and going through Sunday evening. Workshops are typically residential with food provided for throughout the weekend. Dress casually and comfortably for the weekend and be ready to meet your Self.

What have others said?

“I feel that I actually ‘regained’ forgotten parts of myself. I feel so empowered. ” H.L.

“I have gained freedom from past conditioning with three huge pieces to my puzzle of why I had denied aspects of my own femininity. How being a good mom, having a spiritual partnership, and stepping into my magnitude, would dishonor all the other women in my family. This is HUGE for me.” P.S.

Two women “I gained a real determination and certainty of knowing who I am.” L.W.

“I came here with a goal to connect with my inner spirit (that little girl within). With your help and the support, I was able to do that and more. You have given me tools to cope with emotions and feelings that I had inside for years. You helped me find my inner strength and to give it a voice.” M.C.
